Save £5 on a whole host of games, tech and more at Amazon today only

For today only you can get £5 off eligible orders of £25 or more at Amazon UK, so I’ve spent the morning trawling through the site to uncover some of the best games, tech and accessories deals at Amazon right now.

In order to take advantage of the discount, you’ll need to use the code ‘BIGTHANKS’ at the checkout. Sadly, the offer cannot be applied to digital goods or game pre-orders and the item must be sold by Amazon directly (so no third-party sellers or ‘fulfilled by Amazon’ products), but there are still some big savings to be had across the site. Let’s get to it!

Straight away we’re going in for the NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition on PS4 for £22.71. This definitive version of the wildly inventive and fascinating RPG from the eccentric mind of Yoko Taro includes the full game and 3C3C1D119440927 DLC pack. The latter adds a few new costumes but also allows you to fight Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda because, well, why not?

Takes the concept of punching up to a whole new level.

Sticking with Square Enix you can get the far more traditional JPRG, Dragon Quest 11 Echoes Of An Elusive Age for £20.71 on PS4. It’s a quaint and charming affair with a fantastical world that fans of the turn-based classics will surely love.

Speaking of the classics, there’s a pair of platformer collections that also fit the requirements of the deal. First up, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy can be yours for £21.97 on PS4 or £20.95 on Xbox One. Then there’s the bundle of adventures featuring gaming’s most famous grinning marsupial in the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy. It can be yours for £22.99 on PS4, £22.46 on Xbox One or £22.99 on Nintendo Switch.

Crash is just as excited as we are for these deals.

It’s rare to find a significant discount on big-name Switch games, but you can shave a few pennies off some of the console’s most wanted thanks to the voucher code. You can try your luck with the friendship-ending Super Mario Party for £37.99. Or there’s another way to duke it out with your friends in the comprehensive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for £39.99.

Rounding up a final few other bits, I also like Dark Souls: Remastered on Switch for £24.99 if you like to show off your skills in From Software’s punishing adventure while on the go. With the upcoming release of battle royale mode Firestorm, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out you can get Battlefield 5 on PS4 for £22.70 or on Xbox One for £21.88.

Firestorm launches on March 25 but is there room for another battle royale?

And for a quick personal recommendation, Divinity Original Sin 2: Definitive Edition for £21.40 on PS4 is absolutely ridiculous value as it brings a vast, detailed and intricate D&D-style campaign to your console that you can venture through with three others. It’s terrific.

Before I go, here are a few accessories and other tech gubbins that should be of interest. You can nab the SteelSeries Arctis 3 Console Wired Gaming Headset for £44, a Seagate 2 TB Expansion Drive for £52.99 and a 256GB Integral micro SD card for £22.75.

Phew, that’s a lot to get you started. Do have a browse of the full Amazon catalogue yourself to see if there’s something you want to pick up for a fiver off. Remember, the deal only runs until the end of the day so don’t miss out!
