Stardew Valley is heading to mobile at the end of October

Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone’s superlative farming and village life sim Stardew Valley is heading to iOS and Android devices, starting on October 24th.

The mobile port is being handled by London-based mobile studio The Secret Police and will offer the complete Stardew Valley experience – meaning your turnips need never be more than a fumble in your pocket away.

Stardew Valley on mobile will include all single-player content from the recent 1.3 update on PC – multiplayer is sadly excluded – and has been rebuilt with a new UI, menu system, and controls better suited to touch-screens. As an added bonus PC players will, at launch, be able to transfer their save data to the iOS version via iTunes, although modded games are unsupported.

Stardew Valley will release on iOS devices first on October 24th, priced at £7.99/$7.99USD – and, joy, there will be no in-app purchase options whatsoever. The Android version is almost complete, and launch date details will be revealed soon.

Barone’s announcement post notes that Stardew Valley’s console updates are being handled by separate teams, so haven’t been affected by work on the new mobile version. Further news on the multiplayer update for Switch, Xbox One, and PS4 will be shared as development nears completion. “I really appreciate everyone’s patience”, Barone concludes.
