Tesla reported Friday that it had produced more than 100,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter, a record, putting its yearly deliveries within the range it had promised.

In a statement, the electric-vehicle maker said it produced 104,891 cars in the final three months of 2019, and delivered 112,000, including cars manufactured before the quarter began.

That put the year’s total deliveries at 367,500, which Tesla said was 50 percent more than in 2018. It had forecast deliveries of 360,000 to 400,000.

Tesla’s shares have soared since October, when the company reported a third-quarter profit. After falling as low as $177 in June, its stock closed Thursday at $430.26.

Its chief executive, Elon Musk, said Monday on Twitter that he was “headed to Tesla Fremont factory tomorrow” — the last day of the year — “to help with vehicle deliveries.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
