Warzone best FARA 83 loadout: Our FARA 83 class setup recommendation and how to unlock the FARA 83 explained

The FARA 83 in Warzone has regained its popularity after the balance update in Season 3, which has nerfed the FFAR 10 and hinted at upcoming changes for the AMAX as well.

It has always been more than a capable weapon in both Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone, especially at long distances, but the recoil was rather high compared to similar rifles. After the update, however, this has been adjusted, and the weapon also received some significant changes regarding its overall damage.

Arriving in Warzone on February 25, 2021 alongside the LC10, the FARA 83 first debuted as part of the Season 2 Battle Pass. After Season 3 you’ll have to complete a challenge in order to get your hands on it.

This page will cover how to unlock the FARA 83, and both the best Bullfrog loadout and class set up to tune it up to speed.

How to unlock the FARA 83 in Warzone

The FARA 83 debuted in the Season 2 Battle Pass, unlocked as a reward for reaching tier 15.

Now Season 2 has been and gone, you can unlock the FARA 83 via an in-game challenge. Using any assault rifles, you’ll need to get two headshot kills in 15 different matches.

Depending on your skills this may be a far more simpler task than expected. Sadly, you still need to get through 15 matches without quitting after obtaining the headshots, so keep that in mind. We recommend modes such as Nuketown 24/7 or Team Deathmatch playlists where it usually takes a couple minutes for rounds to be over.

Best FARA 83 loadout and attachments in Warzone

Here’s the attachments we’d recommend taking when creating a custom class around the FARA 83 in Warzone:

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor (unlocks at level 46)
  • Barrel: 18.7” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel (unlocks at level 48)
  • Optic: SUSAT Multizoom (unlocks at level 47)
  • Ammunition: 40 Rnd Speed Mag (unlocks at level 25)
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap (unlocks at level 44)

Firstly with the attachments for the FARA 83 in Call of Duty: Warzone, you’ll want to go with the GRU Suppressor for the muzzle. It will grant vertical recoil control as well as bullet velocity and a boost in damage range, in addition to sound suppression of course. It comes with the downside of a cost in aiming stability and aim down sight speed, but neither makes a big impact.

Onto the barrel. We went for the 18.7” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel for this build, which capitalizes on the range and bullet velocity of the rifle, as well as adding strafe speed. Recoil will be impacted by it, but that’s what the GRU Suppressor is there for.

As for the optic slot on the FARA 83, you’ll want to go with the SUSAT Multizoom. Unlocked at level 47, this provides the assault rifle with multiple levels of zoom, which will be useful considering we’re focusing on damage at long distances.

Instead of focusing on the stock or the underbarrel, we decided to go for the 40 Rnd Speed Mag to increase the mag size. We would often run out of bullets at the worst possible time, so this is an essential pick. It also increases your reload speed, at the cost of a decrease in aim down sight time. But don’t worry, since our last pick helps in that regard.

Lastly, we opted for the Serpent Wrap in our rear grip slot. With a slow decrease in sprint to fire time, the weapon will gain a boost in aim down sight time, which compensates the ammunition attachment greatly.

Best FARA 83 class setup, perks and equipment in Warzone

Here’s our choices for the best items – such as equipment and Perks – to make the best FARA 83 class setup in Warzone:

  • Perk 1: Kill Chain (Unlocks at level 34)
  • Perk 2: Overkill (Unlocks at level 38)
  • Perk 3: Spotter (Unlocks at level 38)
  • Secondary: Swiss K31 (Unlocks at level 31 of the Season 3 Battle Pass)
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 30)
  • Lethal: Proximity Mine (Unlocks at level 43)

First thing’s first, you’re going to want to select Kill Chain for Perk number one with a custom class revolving around the FARA 83 in Warzone. Simply put, this Perk gives you a greatly increased chance of finding Killstreaks in Supply Boxes, which you’ll need if you want to pinpoint enemy players with a UAV or bombard them with a Cluster Strike.

For the second Perk, you’ll want to pick Overkill. Being able to carry a second primary weapon is a must, and this perk does just that. We found the Swiss K31 to be a great companion for it in order to cover larger distances than the assault rifle.

With Perk three, we’d advise selecting the Spotter Perk. This lets you see enemy equipment and Killstreaks through walls and other scenery. Basically, the Spotter Perk will always let you know if you’re about to run into an enemy Proximity Mine, or it’ll tell you when an enemy player has thrown a C4 at you, so you can get to a safer distance before it’s detonated.

As for the Tactical equipment option, the Heartbeat Sensor is always the sensible pick, no matter the custom class. With this item, you’ll be able to ping within 50 meters for enemy players, so you’ll be able to see where enemy players are in relation to your current position.

Finally, we’ve opted for the Proximity Mine for the Lethal equipment choice. This option can be replaced with the C4 if you want more direct control over the timing of your explosive, but otherwise the Proximity Mine deals boatloads of damage to both enemy players and vehicles alike, tearing through the armour of any player caught in the blast.
