Buy Razer’s Wolverine V2 controller for just £60 this Black Friday weekend!

Cut above the rest.

The Xbox ecosystem is one that welcomes a range of third-party controllers and accessories. Fortunately for us, that includes Razer. This Black Friday weekend sees their excellent Wolverine V2 controller down to just £60 over at Amazon, and it works great both on console and PC.

Its muted design hides some excellent features that are above and beyond the standard Xbox controller sold today. Razer created it for comfort and lengthy play sessions thanks to the ergonomic design and non-slip rubber grips. Also, it features additional multifunction buttons, each resting near the triggers for quick access to your character’s inventory or other game options. Because that’s the thing: the Razer app on Windows lets you customise it as you wish. There’s also an additional button at the front beneath the quick share option available on most Xbox controllers.

With perfectly tactile buttons and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, you’re getting both comfort and quality that’s never been cheaper before. And with a cable, there’s virtually zero lag between each button press and whatever happens on your screen. It also has Digital Foundry’s stamp of approval as the best third-party PC controller.

If you want to step up your game even further, then take a look at Microsoft’s Elite Series 2 wireless controller. It features even greater customisation, additional buttons and a built-in battery. There’s a small saving at both Currys and Amazon right now for this high-quality controller, down to £150.

Folks in the US shouldn’t feel left out, as both GameStop and Microsoft are selling the standard official wireless controller for $50 this Black Friday season in various colours. That’s a tidy $10 saving from the RRP.

There are new deals constantly popping up during this Black Friday season, so be sure to keep an eye out on the Digital Foundry and Jelly Deals Twitter accounts for all updates. We’re also regularly updating our Black Friday gaming deals guide with the best offers available from all corners of the net, including PC gaming peripherals, SSDs and tons of Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch deals.
