Doom Composer Mick Gordon Wants You To Join His Heavy Metal Screamers Choir

Mick Gordon, who’s composed a number of killer soundtracks over the years, is taking applications for a choir made up entirely of heavy metal screamers for an unannounced video game project he’s working on.

Gordon announced the audition via Youtube. The audition is an “open invitation” to anyone who thinks they have the righteous vocal chords for the choir. A few stipulations.

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Along with your name and email address, you need to provide a demo of your “killer metal voice.”
  • You have until February 1 to send in your demo.
  • You will have to travel out (on your own dime, presumably) to Austin, Texas in the first week of March.

If you’re interested, you can apply for the paid, credited gig right here (warning: the link is sacrilegious).

Odds are this is for Doom Eternal, even if it’s not explicitly stated. Heavy metal, demonic numbers – it all adds up. Sounds neat, if you can pay for your travel out to Texas.
