Koei Tecmo has revealed Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires.

Making the announcement at Tokyo Game Show, Koei Tecmo confirmed the strategic battle experience is coming to current- and next-gen consoles – that’s PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S – as well as Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in “early” 2021.

It’s not much, admittedly, but here’s a minute-long cinematic teaser:

A mobile Dynasty Warriors game was also announced at the show. Though the details – and upcoming beta – are restricted to Japan for now, it looks like the new title is coming to both Android and iOS devices.

Fans in Japan will get the chance to apply for the closed beta between today, 27th September, to 5th October 2020. The beta itself is expected to go live on 8th October and will run until 12th October.

“Exhilarating with your smartphone! Shin Ikki Tousen!” says the video description. “The latest work of the “Shin Sangoku Musou” series will be distributed as an app!”
