Fortnite season 7 will see a ripped Father Christmas invade Battle Royale island with an army of snowmen warriors in biplanes.
Vast areas of the Fortnite map are getting an icy makeover – including Tilted Towers – with several new areas added, and ziplines between mountainous areas.
You’ll also be able to pilot Santa’s planes for yourself. Named the X-4 Stormwing, the biplane is a new five-player vehicle with a mounted machine gun.
The Battle Pass, meanwhile, will include new vehicle and weapon skins named Wraps, plus more pets (a hamster! a skull!) and toys (an ice puck!). The legendary tier 100 skin is a fearsome chap named The Ice King. Maybe he’s Santa’s boss?
This season’s new trailer is the most elaborate yet, and begins with a charming Christmas animation before things go awry.
And then there’s the new Creative Mode, announced yesterday, which Battle Pass owners get a week’s early access to today. There’s a lot – will you be paying up again?
Other changes made at the start of this season include the reworking of balloons (you can now fire and float) and the removal of the following items to the vault: Shadow Stones, Port-a-Fort, Chiller traps, Clinger bombs, the Double Barrel Shotgun and the Shockwave Grenade.
